FUNCTION:

Alberta Blue Cross has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, results-driven Benefit Plan Management Coordinator to join our team.  This relates to benefits, such as prescription drug, extended health, dental, spending accounts, vision, travel, disability, and life benefits.  The ideal candidate has a great attitude, dedicated work ethic, embraces change and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.  

This position provides support to the Drug Benefit and Benefits Managers and will be responsible for conducting environmental scanning, assisting with reporting and benefit plan management initiatives and projects. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assist team members with benefit plan management initiatives.
  • Research, analyze, categorize and disseminate information gathered during environmental scanning of the benefits environment.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating benefits plan reporting as well as analyzing and creating a repository for these reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and other benefit plan management communication materials.
  • Assist in the development of new, innovative initiatives for benefit plan management.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Completion of a Health Sciences or pharmacy/pharmacology related post secondary education or comparable experience.
  • Exceptional research, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the desire for continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products.
  • Benefit plan management experience is an asset.
