Alberta Blue Cross has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, results-driven Flexible Benefits Process Coordinator to join our administration team, reporting to the manager of Group Administration. The ideal candidate is a natural collaborator with a great attitude, work ethic and ability to facilitate projects across internal teams and external clients.  The successful candidate must have exemplary interpersonal skills, proven leadership capacity, strong problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to exceptional client services.


  • Ensure delivery of a consistently superior customer service experience as a group on-boards or changes their existing method of flexible benefits enrolment.
  • Develop a methodology of flexible benefits administration and centralize the processes into one team.
  • Advance Alberta Blue Cross’ capabilities to offer Member Flexible Benefit Selections
  • Represents and provide business direction on internal applications related to Member Flexible Benefit Selections
  • Plays a key and direct role in all ongoing on-boarding/change projects when clients are implementing or using Member Flexible Benefit Selections
  • Provides business representation on the application refresh project.
  • Champions enhancements to the day to day administration of Member Flexible Benefit Selections, and trouble shoots any immediate gaps.
  • Provides regular communication to the Group Administration and Enrolment Management Team regarding status of ongoing projects
  • Coordinates client experience resolution of Flexible Benefits issues by involving Group Sales, IT, Group Enrolment, Group Billing, the external client, and potentially other departments to seek a solution.
  • Works closely with project teams to identify and manage any required system changes
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal/external customers and coworkers.
  • Represents Group Administration in various corporate working groups and projects.
  • Available for external client presentations on the subject of Member Flexible Benefits Selection.


  • A post secondary degree, diploma or prior experience would be an asset.
  • Minimum of five years experience in a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Blue Cross plans, benefits, contracts, systems and processes would be an asset.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills – listening, written and verbal.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized and resourceful.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines, all without jeopardizing quality.
  • Self motivated and flexible.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Attitude and approach of willingness to learn.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft office.
  • Strong networking and relationship skills.
