Position Summary

With the guidance of the Team Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for coordinating with coordinators for effective and efficient support to the provider services community, while maintaining a positive image to other departments. The successful candidate will have exemplary interpersonal skills, proven leadership capacity, strong problem-solving ability, effective research and analytical approaches and commitment to providing exceptional service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures turnaround standards are met through effective utilization of both resources and systems
  • Handles and distributes work received from other teams 
  • Provides support and assistance to coordinators in the handling of duties and inquiries
  • Investigates and responds to escalated requests
  • Manages complex issues/files and updates staff and team manager as required
  • Keeps staff informed on changes in procedures and policies and maintains business process documentation
  • Performs internal quality checks on processes and recommends changes that would increase efficiency
  • Cross-training opportunities within the Health Services department
  • Identifies and brings forward system issues
  • Assists the team manager in coordinating new staff training
  • Scheduling in accordance with departmental policy and with team manager sign-off
  • Acts as a liaison with all internal departments
  • Participates in various work groups and projects as assigned by the Team Manager
