FUNCTION:

With the support of the Team Manager, this position is responsible for the administration of new and existing employer group business. This involves accurate and efficient enrolment of members into benefit plans, maintaining up-to-date records for existing clients and the researching of accounts when resolving issues. An additional critical component of this role is corresponding with clients and initiating contact when required to effectively manage the business processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage enrolments in accordance with established procedures and Group Administration standards with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Research and compile information from various sources to resolve inquiries and enrolment discrepancies, consulting with senior staff if assistance is required
  • Provides support to the Contact Center, as needed with the goal of delivering exceptional client services.
  • Make suggestions to improve workflow and processes.
  • Contact Plan Administrators to obtain necessary information for enrolment processing. 
  • Collaborate with and assumes responsibilities for other group administrators in their absence.
  • Research and reconcile Group Statement of Accounts.
  • Represents Group Administration on projects, when required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proven experience working with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve objectives; demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills in the area of customer service. Demonstrated ability to successfully support clients and key stakeholders over the phone.
  • Demonstrated excellence in accuracy and multi-tasking under tight time frames and heavy workload.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with change and excel in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent relational skills coupled with strong skills in verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities as well as strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is an asset.
  • Experience or knowledge of the insurance industry is an asset.
  • Strong problem solving ability and strength in self-management.
