Position Summary

FUNCTION:

Alberta Blue Cross is currently seeking enthusiastic, target driven individuals to join our growing Individual Products Sales department in our Edmonton call center. Individual Products key focus is on customer experience and strong relationship building. You are an ambassador on the behalf of Alberta Blue Cross. You will handle incoming customer inquiries from multiple sources as well as seeking opportunities for valuable customer touch points. These will be opportunities to promote our health and dental benefit plans over the telephone and online. You will assess individual needs and offer client-focused solutions while generating business on behalf of Alberta Blue Cross. The successful candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional customer experiences on a daily basis, goal and target driven in Sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A strong desire to succeed and is driven by individual results within a team based environment.
  • Obtaining Accident & Sickness and Life License by successfully completing the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and subsequent exams.
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer approximately 10-20 inbound and outbound sales calls per day.
  • Assessing client needs
  • Follow-up with all clients that have expressed an interest in our products.
  • Respond to internet and mail sales inquiries.
  • Providing clients complete support throughout the benefits application process.
  • Drive to meet individual and team sales targets
  • Acts as a liaison between clients and all internal departments including Medical Underwriting and Administration.
  • Ensures turnaround standards are met through effective utilization of both resources and systems.
  • Manages complex issues/files as required.
  • Assists in new staff training.
  • Occasional travel to represent Alberta Blue Cross at industry relevant Trade Shows in Alberta.

This is a full time position targeted first year compensation of $55,000, includes base salary plus incentive bonuses. Based on meeting and exceeding sales targets have opportunity to earn additional incentive.
